October through January on certain Tuesday evenings (TBD) at 7:30 PM
Many Jews want to learn (or re-learn) to read Hebrew. The National Jewish Outreach Program’s most popular program, the Hebrew Reading Crash Course, has given more than 214,000 North American Jews a strong start. Designed for people with little or no background in Hebrew, this course will focus on the Hebrew alphabet and basic reading skills in only nine to ten 1.5 hour weekly sessions. Students will also learn some vocabulary—including words used in everyday speech and common prayers, and some very basic grammar. Taught by a patient and experienced instructor, SHS member Bruce Hirsch, this FREE course will be offered from October through January on certain Tuesday evenings (TBD) at 7:30 PM.
If you are interested in attending this class, please contact SHS Executive Director Betty van de Rijn at firstname.lastname@example.org or 215.922.6590, ext. 23 by Tuesday, September 26. This course is free, but all participants need to register (a minimum of 6 students is required for the course to take place).
