The Society Hill Synagogue Israel sub-committee, A Path Forward: Israeli-Palestinian Peacebuilding, invites you to join us at the Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History for the Philadelphia Jewish Film Festival’s screening of ISRAELI SHORTS on November 13 from 12:00-2:00 pm, followed by nosh and discussion at a congregants’s nearby home.
The four ISRAELI SHORTS explore Israeli life and identity today, including two dealing with peace endeavors: Oscar-nominated CHILDREN NO MORE: WERE AND ARE GONE, about a Tel Aviv peace vigil; and IN PROTEST, about a women’s rights movement.
Attendees are welcome immediately after the showing (which includes a speaker), to reflect on these two short films at Debbie Stewart’s home, please contact her directly for details.
