With so many wonderful opportunities for every generation at Society Hill Synagogue, we are excited to welcome you to our Open House Weekend! There is no charge for attendance; we just ask attendees who aren’t members of Society Hill Synagogue to register here for the Open House. Come for any or all of these Open House Shabbat services, gatherings, and meals:

• Friday evening, August 28 — our TGIShabbat experience begins with 5:30 pm Shabbat Schmooze (wine and cheese), followed by our 6:00 pm Kabbalat Shabbat service in the Sanctuary with Rabbi Nathan Kamesar and Hazzan Jessi Roemer joined by world-class musicians, and our 7:15 pm Oneg dinner.

  For families with newborns to 6-year-olds, that Friday will include our first Young Families Shabbat of the year at 5:45 pm, with guitar grooves, singing, blessings, dancing, and dinner.

• Saturday morning, August 29 — Join us for 9:00 am Coffee and Schmooze, followed by 9:30 am Shabbat services in the Sanctuary with our popular intergenerational Torah discussion, and Kiddush lunch at 12:00 pm. Between the Torah discussion and lunch, there will be games and activities in the Social Hall for children ages 5-12 led by Karen Hafter, our Director of Youth and Family Education.
